WHAT IS SEED?
SEED provides a space for organized youth groups to learn about aspects of sustainable agriculture, from science to lifestyle. SEED invites students to safely learn by experience on our 80-acre production and education farm.
We invite any group working with youth from ages 5 to 15 to schedule an educational session! We frequently collaborate with Girl and Boy Scout troops, 4-H groups, homeschooling groups, and after-school programs.
We are excited to introduce the option of multi-day visits for school groups, which can include a series of in-class and on-farm visits as a supplement to science curricula. If your school is interested in a collaboration with the Dickinson College Farm, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The session can be the theme of your choosing based on our seasonally appropriate options. If you are interested in a topic that is not listed, feel free to inquire with email@example.com. We are happy to fit our options to the needs of your group!
READY TO BOOK?
Please contact the farm's Education and Outreach Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or (717) 254-8046 if you are interested in scheduling a class.
For planning purposes, we ask that interested groups sign up at least two weeks in advance of their requested date. Please note that SEED classes are only available while Dickinson College is in session (August-May). We ask interested parties to fill out the following questionnaire to help us create the best class for your group.
